The western powerhouse didn’t finished the group stage as they want it to be. Losing 2 consecutive games against the newly revived Na’Vi and the ESL One Manila champions, Wings Gaming. This will force Team Secret to start the main event in the lower bracket. They will be fighting for their tournament lives with a BO1 match ahead of them. Their opponent will be disclosed only after the end of Day 2 group stage.

Digital Chaos towards the Upper Bracket

After being kicked out in Team Secret, w33haaa and Misery found themselves in a comfortable position after winning twice against Wings Gaming and losing to the crowd favorite Na’Vi. Despite being in a new team, Misery’s experience led the team with his solid drafting and team plays. Their loss to Na’Vi is their first loss after having a 7 game winning streak for different tournaments such as Summit 5, Starseries and Canada Cup.

Comeback of the Chinese Dota

Meanwhile in Group A, the Chinese powerhouse Newbee topped their group without dropping a single game against either Complexity and OG. Could this be the start of the dominance of Chinese Dota after having an overall slump over the past tournaments?
