Joining the organization that won the very first Aegis would be RodjER and Crystallize, completing the new roster of Natus Vincere for the upcoming Dota2 season.

It is said that Na’Vi’s glory days are waning, especially with TI7 being the first time that Na’Vi didn’t appear in the Grand Stage of Dota2. Despite the multiple changes in the roster, Na’Vi’s failed to regain their old fiery soul that led them to three consecutive Grand Finals showing from the first three Internationals. With the team breaking down the first time after their first abysmal placing in TI4, the team hasn’t yet recovered its former status as a high-caliber team.

With their failure to qualify for TI7, Na’Vi’s roster had already changed as early as July 31, when they released Pajkatt and Biver. In an attempt to improve the team, SoNNeikO was taken in again to replace rmN- from being the team’s position 4 last April. SoNNeikO had left Na’Vi late last year to join Vega Squadron, but he didn’t get the results he wanted, and thus returned to Na’Vi. SoNNeikO had been the team’s captain right before he left for Vega, and now he will once again take on the reins of captain as Pajkatt moves on from the team.

Coming in to replace the big shoes of Pajkatt will be a new face to the professional Dota2 scene. Many people would not immediately recognize Crystallize, unless they’ve been watching the CIS region very carefully. Albeit not a beginner, the 8k MMR carry has been playing in different Tier 3 CIS teams for a while now. A lot of fans are still doubting Crystallize’s abilities, and don’t think that he would be able to fill in the shoes of the Swedish veteran, but only time will tell whether or not Crystallize would shine in his new team.

Meanwhile, coming from Team Empire, RodjER will be Na’Vi’s new position 4 support, which then puts SoNNeikO back to position 5, the position he feels most comfortable in. RodjER’s still relatively new to the professional scene, only joining Team Empire May last year after a string of Tier 2-3 teams. However, RodjER has already proven himself to be a capable support, being partly responsible of the early exit of Evil Geniuses in TI7. RodjER’s well-known for his aggressive and fearless playstyle, which should fit right into the classic Na’Vi that fans remember and love.

With all that and said, fans aren’t so hopeful still with the new lineup of Na’Vi, as many have been hoping for Resolut1on to return to the CIS region and play with this team. However, with OG’s announcement that Resolut1on will be part of their team, all of those dreams crumbled. Many fans have even been calling for the retirement of Dendi, thinking that he is well past his prime and should give up his mid position with someone who could carry the team better. But Legends, as they all say, never die. And Dendi’s here to stay for another season of Dota2.
