Playing in a different game mode didn’t deter Team Secret to score another Minor last weekend.
Team Secret retains their lead ahead the rest of the Dota 2 leaderboards in winning Captain’s Draft 4.0 this weekend. They succeeded by overtaking Vici Gaming, with whom they had a hotly-contested 5-game series. Throughout the whole series, it would seem that VG would take away the gold once and for all, only for Team Secret to shift into higher gear to take over the game from their opponents.
Their first game in the series was a comeback victory coming from a 14:3 killscore, ending the game with a 30:22 deficit. VG would take away the next two games, but then Team Secret struck back and won the last two, taking away the championship with them.
With this win, Team Secret scores another 150 QP. This brings their total score to 4140 QP so far, remaining number one in the leaderboards of teams with qualifying points. Meanwhile, VG scores 90 QP, bringing their total to 810. They are now tied with Mineski at 6th place, with OG trailing at 8th with 630 points.
The next Valve Minor for the month would be ESL One Genting 2018, to be held from January 23 to January 28 in Malaysia, which will feature 400 QP and a prize pool of $400,000.
