The second Major in the span of a month will be held at the Polyvalent Hall in Bucharest, Poland, with a format not yet done in any of the other Majors.

1500 QP will be put at stake starting today in Bucharest for the Major. For the first time ever, a Swiss Round Robin will be used in the group stage. This means that apart from the initial seeded matches, the matchups for the group stage are not predetermined. Instead, all of the matches will be dependent on the score of each team after every round of the Swiss. There will be five rounds in total, where each team will be facing teams with the nearest score to team for every round.

This gives us a total of 40 matches for the group stages, where all sixteen teams get to play five games each. The top eight scorers in the group stage will advance to the single-elimination playoffs, with an indiscriminate placing for the third and fourth placers.

Representing the SEA region are TNC Pro Team and Mineski. This will be TNC’s first Major after Armel’s arrival and Kuku’s subsequent shift to the support role.

Of course, favorites going into the tournament also include the current top-placers in the leaderboards Virtus.pro, followed by Team Secret who creep closely behind VP. Team Liquid and Newbee are also directly invited to the tournament, as well as Evil Geniuses, Natus Vincere, compLexity Gaming,Vici Gaming, and LGD.Forever Young.

Other teams competing for the tournament are Vega Squadron, OG, VGJ.Thunder, OpTic Gaming and paiN Gaming.
