The race to garner HCT points continues as the Hearthstone Championship Tour moves on from Canada to Bangkok this weekend, March 16-March 18. Cara Rechelyn “CaraCute” Vergel De Dios will be traveling to Thailand to join the tour, competing against over 250 other competitors.

Up to 32 players will gain as much as 15 HCT points and as much as $3,500 in the Standard Mode Conquest tournament. All matches will be Bo5, four decks with one ban, in a double elimination bracket. A total of 191 HCT points will be given away in the tournament, along with a total of $15,000 cash prize.

The first two rounds of the tournament will occur on the first day, although there would be no coverage available to viewers as of yet. Viewing will start on the second day for the Round of 64, which will trim down the number of players to the top 32. The top 32 players will then battle in a double elimination, Bo5 format for the chance to earn more points for each win they get.

Aside from CaraCute, other participating Filipino players are WaningMoon, Staz and Chalk of Bren Esports and IAmTheTable. The five players will be among hundreds of others competing in the APAC Region for the HCT points needed.

The tournament is crucial as it will be the second to the last stops of the HCT tour for the current season, which is set to end on March 31. HCT points will determine invitation to the Seasonal Playoffs, with the Asia Pacific having its own from May 19 to 20. Winners of the Seasonal Playoffs will move on to the Global Championships that will be held on June 28, at the Blizzard Arena in Los Angeles, California.
