The Globe Philippine Pro Gaming League returns for a second season!

The King of Iron Fist Tournament is back

The Globe Philippine Pro Gaming League returns this month, along with its flagship fighting game tournament, Tekken 7. Fighters from all over the Philippines will have the chance to showcase their skills. PPGL 2018 will be roaming around the country, looking for the best fighters possible. The strongest players will even get a chance to compete internationally for the upcoming Rev Major later this year.

Last year, PPGL 2018 Tekken 7 championship crowned Playbook Esports‘s AK as its inaugural champion.

Mineski Events Team will be organizing this new season, partnering with Playbook Esports returningthe Tekken 7 Tournament of the Globe PPGL Season 2.

A total of Php100,000 (~$2,000) worth of cash prizes will be fought over for the tournament, with the first placer scoring a hefty Php45,000 (~$900).  The top four players will also win an invitation to the Rev Major, an officially sanctioned event for the 2018 Tekken World Tour.

While the grand finals of the tournament will be held during the BrawlFest Versus Arena fighting games event, at SM North Edsa, on August 19, 2018, the qualifiers will start on June 23.

Not just Tekken 7

Aside from Tekken 7, Globe PPGL 2018 will also feature tournaments in Dota2 and Arena of Valor. The total prizepool of the whole tournament rounds up to Php800,000 (~$16,000).
