The showcase match started out with OG’s BigDaddyN0tail first picking Techies for JerAx, and consecutively chose heroes without delay. Their lineup was composed of Windranger for the returning ana, Necrophos for 7ckngmad, Abaddon for N0taiL and Pugna for the debuting Topson. Meanwhile, TheseDays went for a strong pushing lineup consisting of Dragon Knight, Luna, Tusk, Rubick and Beastmaster.

OG would lead the game for the whole game, scoring kills everywhere on the map as both teams try to outdo each other’s aggressiveness. The kills for both teams were equal for most of the match, but OG had a clear lead in terms of net worth. However, TheseDays was able to score a clean team wipe as they caught ana and 7ckngmad off-guard. Without their buybacks and due to their high net worths, OG left their base unguarded as TheseDays pushed down the second tier tower straight to the Ancient.

Friendly banter?

OG and TheseDays shared banter as the game was about to end. OG pleaded for TheseDays to turn back. JerAx bluffed that they had mines all over their base, and that he’d blow up the whole area if TheseDays don’t retreat. The student players weren’t convinced though, and they continued to push down the towers until they destroyed the enemy ancients. TheseDays celebrated with a trashtalk pause as the ancient’s HP dropped down.

Viewers from the Internet didn’t take TheseDay’s trashtalking lightly, though. Many netizens expressed their disgust on their behavior. The organizers of the tournament themselves have issued a statement regarding the team’s ‘unsportsmanlike behavior’.
