The Southeast Asia region began with two TNC teams, Predator and Tigers, going against Entity Gaming and Fnatic, respectively. Fnatic was able to beat Tigers in the first round, and eventually Predator to secure the first slot in the SEA region qualifiers to TI. Tigers would defeat Entity Gaming in the first elimination round of the lower bracket, which brought them face-to-face with their sister team. Tigers would bare their fangs and would defeat Predator cleanly in their first game. Predator was able to stage a comeback in the second game to tie the series one-to-one. Tigers were almost sure to win the third game with a big lead, but a heroic effort by Tims allowed TNC to turn the tides, coming from a successful contention of a Roshan attempt.

TNC Predator and Fnatic will be joining Mineski in the grandest stage of Dota 2.
